Morning Recap | Five games across the region on a busy Sunday

 

Ottawa, ON – A busy Sunday across the CCHL region, saw victories from the Rockland Nations, Navan Grads, Brockville Braves, Kanata Lasers, and Pembroke Lumber Kings.

 

F | ROCKLAND 3 OTTAWA 1

Matthew Vermaeten, Jack Sullivan, and Cameron Last scored goals, while Cole Hudson made 24-saves as Rockland won their fifth in a row and improved to 13-4-0-0 on the year. Ottawa, who fell to 11-5-1-0, had their lone goal from Faisal Alsaif, while Bryan Landsberger made 17-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | NAVAN 5 SMITHS FALLS 3

Jackson Arcan led the way with 3 points (2G, 1A), Wil Murray, Seva Losev, and Alex Robert also found the score sheet, while Alex Wisco made 28-saves as Navan improved to 7-10-0-0. Ethan Nystrom, Noah Adams, and Ryan Richardson scored for Smiths Falls, while Victor Desjardins made 31-saves as the Bears fell to 6-9-0-1.

 

F | BROCKVILLE 2 HAWKESBURY 1

Simon Kerr and Justin McRae tallied goals, while Aidan Hosein made 18-saves as Brockville improved to 9-4-3-0 on the season. Hawkesbury fell to 11-7-0-0.

Luca Nocita and Derek St. Jean tallied 2 goals apiece, Trevor Poeze, Julian Recine, and Ryan Park added singles, while Jean-Philippe Tourigny made 29-saves as Kanata improved their season record to 10-5-0-1. Kemptville fell to 6-8-2-0, receiving goals from Declan House, Gavin Wood, Madoka Suzuki, Evan Mitchell, and Chase Lammi.

Brady Egan, Andrew Poulias, Jesse Kirkby, and Jack Stockfish scored, while Darian McTavish had a 28-save shutout as Pembroke improved to 10-9-0-0. Nepean saw their record fall to 2-15-1-1.
