Morning Recap | Five Games Across CCHL Region Friday

 

BROCKVILLE, ON – There were five games played through out the CCHL region on Friday, seeing the Brockville Braves, Hawkesbury Hawks, Smiths Falls Bears, Pembroke Lumber Kings, and Carleton Place Canadians claim victories.

 

BROCKVILLE 6 RENFREW 3

Evan Boucher tallied a hat-trick to take over the CCHL goal-scoring race, Ryan Bonfield, Owen Belisle, and Kevin Fitzgerald also scored, while Sami Molu made 22-saves as Brockville improved their record on the year to 17-7-0-2. Renfrew, who saw their record fall to 15-6-1-1, had goals from Brendan Hill (2), and Elvis Slack.

 

HAWKESBURY 5 NEPEAN 3

Jakson Kirk, Rylee Hlusiak, Willyam Gendron, Josh Spratt, and Jeremy Quesnel scored goals, while Dimitri Pelekos made 18-saves as Hawkesbury improved to 15-8-1-2 on the season. Nepean, who dropped to 6-18-1-0, had two goals from high-scoring Nepean U18 AAA player Luka Benoit, and a single from Ryan Liverman. 

 

SMITHS FALLS 5 KEMPTVILLE 2

Brody Fournier scored twice, Alec Hamady, Owen Watson, and Sean James tallied singles, while Will McEvoy made 16-saves as Smiths Falls improved to 9-15-1-0 on the season. Kemptville, who fell to 15-8-2-2, had goals from Brock Krulicki and Lane Morency, while Connor Blackwood made 22-saves in the loss.

 

PEMBROKE 4 NAVAN 3

Brady Egan, Jacob Zwirecki, Jack Stockfish, and Gabe Malek scored goals, while Dalton McBride made 33-saves as Pembroke improved to a Robinson Division leading 17-6-2-1. Navan, who fell to 14-9-0-1 on the season, had goals from Devyn Orpana, Owen Parsons, and Aiden McCarthy, while Ben West made 31-saves on the losing end of things.

 

CARLETON PLACE 4 ROCKLAND 2

Jake Code scored twice, Derek Hamilton and Djibril Toure added singles, while Joe Chambers made 31-saves as Carleton Place improved to 11-11-1-2 on the year. Rockland, who dropped their record to 9-15-2-1, had goals from Tucker Shields and Alexandre Frechette, while Jack McGovern made 20-saves in the loss.
