Morning Recap | Eight teams in action on busy Sunday

 

Ottawa, ON – Eight teams were in action Sunday across the CCHL region, with the Navan Grads, Carleton Place Canadians, Cornwall Colts, and Brockville Braves claiming victories. 

 

F | NAVAN 6 ROCKLAND 3

Devyn Orpana (2), Gabriel Crete, Wil Murray, Blake Butler, and Ryan O’Toole tallied goals, while Alex Wisco made 36-saves as the Navan Grads improved their season record to 8-15-0-0. Rockland, who fell to 14-6-0-1, had goals from Jack Sullivan, Cameron Pound, and Alex Frechette.

 

F | CARLETON PLACE 8 HAWKESBURY 1

Jake Code totaled 4 points (2G, 2A), Caleb Kean, Austin Mourar, Ryland Mosley, Steven Townley, Ben Brunette, and Mark Cooper also found the net, while Devon Levi made 29-saves as Carleton Place improved to 19-3-2-0 on the season. Hawkesbury saw their record fall to 11-11-0-0.

 

F | CORNWALL 6 KEMPTVILLE 2

Charlie Skinner, Emerick Nadeau, Tanner Tarbell, Kobe Tallman, Bradley Shaw, and Charlie Campbell all scored first period goals to seal the deal early, while Rico Dimatteo made 28-saves as Cornwall improved to 5-14-1-1 on the year. Kemptville fell to 8-11-2-0.

 

F | BROCKVILLE 4 PEMBROKE 1

Parker Casey, Konnor MacCormick, Clay Korpi, and Will Toriani all found the back of the net, while Jake Begley made 29-saves as Brockville improved their record to 12-4-3-0. Pembroke saw their record drop to 12-10-0-0 on the year.
