Morning Recap | Day 2 of the Fall Showcase impresses more than Day 1

 

OTTAWA, ON – Day two of the CCHL Fall Showcase was even more exciting than the first. The Navan Grads, Pembroke Lumber Kings, Brockville Braves, Hawkesbury Hawks, Renfrew Wolves, and Ottawa Junior Senators all came out on the winning end of things.

 

NAVAN 6 NEPEAN 3

Danyk Drouin (2), Gabriel Crete (2), Owen Parsons, and Cayden Faust led the offensive charge, while Nathan Loisel finished with 28-saves for the win. Chase Campeau, Rylan Iwachniuk, and Carter Vollett scored for the Raiders, while Evan Martin made 30-saves.

 

PEMBROKE 4 CARLETON PLACE 3 SO

Jesse Kirkby (2) and Jacob Zwirecki scored in regulation, Brady Egan scored the shootout winner, while Reece Proulx made 24-saves for the victory. Carleton Place had goals from Caleb Kean, Reid Oliver, and Bill Gourgon, while Joe Chambers made 24-saves in the losing effort.

 

BROCKVILLE 4 ROCKLAND 2

Luke Tchor, Matthew Donovan, Colin Stacey, and Evan Boucher found the back of the net, while Will McEvoy made 29-saves in the win. Nick White and William Collins replied for the Nationals, while Jack McGovern made 35-saves in the loss.

 

HAWKESBURY 6 SMITHS FALLS 2

Rylee Hlusiak netted a hat-trick in his second straight game, Willyam Gendron, Eric Chamandy, and Michael Andrews also scored, while Dmitri Pelekos finished with 14-saves. Will Rivet and Sean James replied for the Bears, while Adam Yost made 31-saves in the loss.

 

RENFREW 6 CORNWALL 3

Trent Scullion (2), Noah Vom Scheidt (2), Mathieu Parent, and Charlie Johnson led the way offensively, while Sebastian Resar made 28-saves for the victory. Aaron Shaw scored twice, Josh Russell added a single, while Alex Houston made 28-saves on the losing end for Cornwall.

 

OTTAWA 3 KEMPTVILLE 2

Julian Recine, David Mabey, and Simon Isabelle scored goals, while William Desmarais made 32-saves for the Junior Senators victory. Devon Savignac and Johnny Howie found the net for Kemptville, while Connor Blackwood made 24-saves in the loss.
