Morning Recap | Canadians, Nationals, Bears, and 73’s Thanksgiving Sunday winners

 

Ottawa, ON – There were four games of CCHL action on Thanksgiving Sunday, which saw victories coming from the Carleton Place, Rockland Nationals, Smiths Falls Bears, and Kemptville 73’s.

 

F | CARLETON PLACE 4 BROCKVILLE 2

Ryan Bonfield, Cameron Patton, Steven Townley, and David Gagnon tallied goals, while Devon Levi made 16-saves as Carleton Place improved to 14-3-0-0 on the season. Brockville saw their record fall to 7-4-3-0, receiving goals from Justin McRae and Troy Bowditch, while Jake Begley made 25-saves in the loss.

 

F | ROCKLAND 9 NAVAN 6

In a very high-scoring contest, Rockland got goals from Cameron Pound (2), Alex Frechette, Cameron Scrivens, Matthew Vermaeten, Andrew Aboumossa, Noah Doyle, Jack Sullivan, and Cameron Last, while Cyrus Martin made 28-saves as the Nationals improved to 10-4-0-0. Jean-Sylvain Boyer (2), Devyn Orpana (2), Nick Bruno, Alex Lovisek scored for Navan, while Alex Wisco made 45-saves as the Grads fell to 6-8-0-0.

 

F | SMITHS FALLS 3 NEPEAN 2

Theo Todd, Alex Lewis, and Aaron Frenkel were the goal scorers, while Victor Desjardins made 32-saves as Smiths Falls improved to 5-8-0-1 on the year. Matthew Shanklin and Thomas Winn scored for the Raiders, while Tyler Laureault finished with 38-saves as Nepean fell to 2-12-1-1.

 

F | KEMPTVILLE 5 NEPEAN 1

Madoka Suzuki, Carter Vollett, Hunter Brazier, Gavin Wood, and Chase Lammi found the net, while William Anderson made 31-saves as Kemptville improved to 5-7-2-0. Blair Battachio was the lone goal scorer for Pembroke, while Reece Proulx made 32-saves as Pembroke fell to 8-7-0-0.
