Morning Recap | Busy Saturday across the CCHL

 

OTTAWA, ON – Another packed day of hockey on Saturday for the CCHL which saw victories from Brockville, Cornwall, Renfrew, Ottawa, and Carleton Place.

 

BROCKVILLE 4 KEMPTVILLE 3

Ryan Gillespie scored twice, including the game-winner, Lucas Lapalm and Anthony Biniaris also found the net, while Brandon Abbott and Antoine Bourdeau shared the victory in net. Scoring for Kemptville was Gavin Wood, Jack York, and Brock Krulicki, while William Anderson stopped 19/21 shots he faced in the losing effort.

 

CORNWALL 4 HAWKESBURY 1

Kobe Tallman, Matthew Varnovitski, Benjamin Dirven, and William Bishop scored goals, while Jackson Parsons made 37 saves in net for the victory. Hawkesbury got their lone goal from Mark Cooper, while David O’Keefe finished with 18 saves in the loss.

 

RENFREW 2 SMITHS FALLS 1

Mathieu Parent and Paul Hughes tallied goals, while Will Craig made 33 saves to pick-up the victory. Brandon Slawaska scored for Smiths Falls, while Victory Desjardins finished with 43 saves in the losing effort.

 

OTTAWA 4 NEPEAN 3 OT

Ethan Mulhearn found the net twice, including in overtime, Kolten Shindle and Braeden Bowman also scored for the Jr Senators, while Tyler Laureault made 27 saves to pick up the victory. For Nepean, Patrick Maule scored twice, Rylan Iwachniuk also found the net, while Connor Shibley made 30 saves in the loss.

 

CARLETON PLACE 4 PEMBROKE 1

The Canadians got goals from Matthew Johnson, Vincent Nardone, Caleb Kean, and Ethan Woolsey, while Simon Bucheler made 17 saves in the win. Pembroke got their lone goal off the stick of Isaac Pascoal, while Kyle Curtin finished with 30 saves on the losing end of things.
