Morning Recap | Busy Friday Night with 5 games

 

Ottawa, ON – It was an occasional busy Friday night of hockey across the CCHL region with 5 games of action. The Brockville Braves, Kanata Lasers, Hawkesbury Hawks, Rockland Nationals, and Carleton Place Canadians grabbed victories.

 

F | BROCKVILLE 3 CORNWALL 2 SO

Ryan Gillespia and Justin McRae found the back of the net in regulation, Gillespie also went on to notch the Shootout winner, while Jake Begley finished with 22-saves as the Braves improved their record to 3-1-2-0 on the year. Bradley Shaw and Emerick Nadeau scored for Cornwall, who fell to 1-5-0-1 this season, while Rico DiMatteo made a whopping 55-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | KANATA 4 SMITHS FALLS 3

Austin Paul, Luca Nocita, Felix Tourigny, and Liam Markhauser all scored goals, while Vincent Bujold-Roux made 27-saves as Kanata continued their stellar play, improving to 6-1-0-0. Ryan Richardson, Andrew McKenney, and Brendan Dempsey replied for the Bears, while Jake Smith made 29-saves as Smiths Falls fell to 0-5-0-1 this year.

 

F | HAWKESBURY 4 KEMPTVILLE 2

Azzaro Tinling scored two goals, Mathieu Parent and Jeremy Quesnel had singles, while Mathieu Chenier made 35-saves as Hawkesbury improved to 3-4-0-0 on the season. Madoka Suzuki and Jared Patterson responded for Kemptville, while Riley McCabe made 25-saves as Kemptville fell to 1-5-1-0 this season.

 

F | ROCKLAND 5 NEPEAN 1

Vincent Labelle, Simon Labelle, Daniel Menges, Jack Sullivan, and Andrew Abousmossa tallied goals, while Cole Hudson made 18-saves as Rockland improved their record on the year to 5-1-0-0. Nepean got their lone goal from Beau Binnie, while Andrew Rose made 32-saves as Nepean saw their season record drop to 1-5-0-1.

 

F | CARLETON PLACE 2 PEMBROKE 1

Steven Townley and Ryland Mosley scored the goals, Devon Levi finished with 14-saves as Carleton Place improved their record to 6-1-0-0. Andrew Poulias scored the lone goal for the Lumber Kings, while Reese Proulx made 36-saves as Pembroke fell to 6-1-0-0 on the year.
