Morning Recap | Busy Friday night sees all twelve teams in action

 

OTTAWA, ON – A busy Friday night saw all twelve teams in action with the Brockville Braves, Hawkesbury Hawks, Carleton Place Canadians, Nepean Raiders, Ottawa Junior Senators, and Navan Grads picking up victories.

 

BROCKVILLE 4 CORNWALL 3 OT

Evan Boucher scored twice, including the overtime winner, Owen Rainey, and Lucas Culhane also found the net, while Will McEvoy got the win as the Braves improved to 6-3-0-0 on the year. Kobe Tallman (2), and Zack Speck-Meek responded for the Colts, while Alex Houston made 39-saves on the losing side of things as the Colts fell to 2-5-1-2 on the season.

 

HAWKESBURY 3 PEMBROKE 2 SO

Mark Cooper and Michael Andrews scored in regulation, Willyam Gendron netted the shootout winner, while Max Donoso finished with 15-saves as Hawkesbury won their 6th straight to improve to 6-3-0-0. Pembroke, who fell to 5-2-0-1, had goals from Gabe Malek and Jesse Kirkby, while Reece Proulx made 33-saves.

 

CARLETON PLACE 7 SMITHS FALLS 4

Ryan Bonfield (2), Ethan Woolsey, Devin Pimm, Holden Woodcroft, Jake Code, and Kerfalla Toure all found the net, while Joe Chambers finished with 19-saves as the Canadians improved to 4-4-0-1 this season. Owen Watson scored twice, Sean James and Alec Hamady also scored, while Victor Desjardins made 25-saves as the Bears fell to 1-7-0-0 on the year.

 

NEPEAN 3 KEMPTVILLE 2 SO

Owen Hollingsworth scored in regulation and added the shootout winner, Jeff Taylor also found the net, while Evan Martin made 40-saves as Nepean won their 2nd straight to improve to 2-6-0-0 on the season. Kemptville, who fell to 4-3-0-1 had goals from Chase Lammi and Evan Beaudry, while Tyler Laureault finished with 30-saves in the losing effort.

 

OTTAWA 5 ROCKLAND 4 SO

Simon Isabelle scored twice, Philippe Jacques and Braxton Ross also scored, Julian Recine netted the shootout winner, while Felix Schnell made 30-saves as Ottawa stormed back down 4-1 in the third period to improve their record to 7-1-0-0. Rockland, who fell to 1-5-1-1, had goals from Joshua Reid, John Mulvihill, Giovanni Morneau, and Dylan Blue, while Simon Couroux made 45-saves in the loss.

 

NAVAN 2 RENFREW 1

Alec Lovisek and Nolan Forster scored goals, while Ben West made 31-saves as the Grads improved to 7-2-0-0 on the year. Tyson Tomasini was the lone goal scorer for the Wolves, who fell to 6-2-0-0, while Will Craig made 37-saves on the losing end of things.
