Morning Recap | Bears, Hawks, Canadians, and Junior Senators victorious Sunday

 

OTTAWA, ON – Four games across the CCHL region on Sunday saw the Smiths Falls Bears, Hawkesbury Hawks, Carleton Place Canadians, and Ottawa Junior Senators come away with victories.

 

SMITHS FALLS 5 BROCKVILLE 4 SO

Owen Watson (2), Brody Fournier, and Lleyton McLean found the net, Fournier also added the shootout winner, while Victor Desjardins made 36-saves as Smiths Falls improved to 2-7-0-0 on the year. Brockville, who fell to 6-3-0-1, had a hat-trick from Evan Boucher and a single from Marco Iozzo, while Brandon Abbott made 29-saves in the losing effort.

 

HAWKESBURY 6 NEPEAN 2

Josh Spratt scored twice, Mark Cooper, Rylee Hlusiak, Jackson Kirk, and Jeremy Quesnel also scored, while Max Donoso made 28-saves as the Hawks won their 7th straight game to improve to 7-3-0-0 on the season. Nepean received goals from Zachary Lefebvre and Nolan Mozer, while Evan Martin made 21-saves.

 

CARLETON PLACE 4 ROCKLAND 2

Kerfalla Toure and Evan Jamieson scored two goals apiece, while Joe Chambers made 31-saves as Carleton Place improved their season record to 5-4-0-1. Rockland, who fell to 1-6-1-1, had goals from Justin Dauphinais and Gabriel Filion, while Jack McGovern finished with 25-saves in the loss.

 

OTTAWA 3 PEMBROKE 1

Simon Isabelle, Julian Recine, and Vincent Velocci tallied goals, while William Desmarais made 39-saves as Ottawa saw their season record improve to a league best 8-1-0-0. Pembroke, who fell to 5-3-0-1, had their lone goal from Riley Thompson, while Reece Proulx finished with 34-saves in the losing effort.
