Morning Recap | Bears, Canadians, Jr Senators pick up wins Wednesday

 

Ottawa, ON – Three games across the CCHL region Wednesday evening saw victories coming from the Smiths Falls Bears, Carleton Place Canadians, and Ottawa Jr Senators.

 

F | SMITHS FALLS 7 PEMBROKE 3

The Bears had goals from seven different skaters as Tate Leeson, Wyatt Villalta, Cameron McLean, Stuart Martin, Alex Lewis, Cade Helmer, and Brendan Dempsey all found the net, while Jake Smith made 23-saves as Smiths Falls improved to 2-6-0-1 on the year. The Lumber Kings fell to 7-3-0-0.

 

F | CARLETON PLACE 5 NEPEAN 4

Ryland Mosley (1G, 2A), Brett Thorne (1G, 1A), Michael Patchell, David Gagnon, and Kerfalla Toure had goals, while Addison Lawrence finished with 24-saves as Carleton Place improved to 12-1-0-0 this season. Nepean, who fell to 1-10-0-1 on the season, had goals from Josh Root, Tyson Tomasini, Ryan Stansel, and Evan Boucher, while Tyler Laureault made 33-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | OTTAWA 5 NAVAN 3

Thomas Freel scored twice, Vincent Velocci, Zachary Gravel, and David Berube also found the back of the net, while Joshua Ward made 19-saves as Ottawa improved to 7-3-0-0. Zane Dalpe, Seva Losev, and Blake Butler replied for Navan, while Alex Wisco made 25-saves as the Grads fell to 5-6-0-0 on the year.
