Morning Recap | 73’s, Raiders, Nationals, and Lumber Kings winners Sunday

 

OTTAWA, ON – There were four games across the CCHL circuit Sunday as the Kemptville 73’s, Nepean Raiders, Rockland Nationals, and Pembroke Lumber Kings all pulled out victories.

 

KEMPTVILLE 3 SMITHS FALLS 2

Brock Krulicki, Hunter Brazier, and Ty Whyte all potted goals, while Tyler Laureault made 24-saves as the 73’s won their fourth straight game to improve to 8-3-0-1 on the year. Sean James and Brody Fournier tallied goals, while Adam Yost made 39-saves as the Bears saw their record fall to 2-9-0-0.

 

NEPEAN 4 CORNWALL 3 OT

Tyler Melvin scored twice, including the OT winner, Chase Campeau and Jeff Taylor also registered goals, while Connor Shibley made 30-saves as Nepean improved their record to 3-8-0-0. Cornwall, who had their record fall to 2-7-2-2, received goals from Kobe Tallman, Keanu Krenn, and Jake Coleman, while Alex Houston made 35-saves in the losing effort.

 

ROCKLAND 4 NAVAN 1

Rockland improved their record on the season to 2-7-1-1 on goals from William Collins, Justin Dauphinais, Kyle Leonard, and Gabriel Filion, while Simon Couroux made 39-saves in the victory. The Grads saw their record fall to 8-3-0-0 with their lone goal coming off the stick of Mason Goldie, while Ben West finished with 29-saves in the loss.

 

PEMBROKE 4 HAWKESBURY 0

Gabe Malek scored twice, Jacob Zwirecki and Joe Jordan had singles, while Reece Proulx made 30-saves for the shutout as the Lumber Kings improved to 7-3-0-1 on the year. The Hawks had their eight-game winning streak halted and fell to 8-4-0-0 on the season.
