Renfrew 4, Cornwall 3
The Renfrew Wolves secured a 4–3 victory over the Cornwall Colts on Sunday afternoon at the MyFM Centre Recreation Complex. Renfrew built an early advantage with three first-period goals from Harris and Ross (2), while Reid added his first CCHL goal and the eventual game-winner in the second frame. Cornwall responded with power-play tallies from Lamb (2) and Rhodes but was unable to complete the comeback. Wolves goaltender Osipenko turned aside 37 of 40 shots. Rheaume made 25 saves in relief for Cornwall.
Smiths Falls 5, Nepean 1
The Smiths Falls Bears delivered a commanding 5–1 win over the Nepean Raiders on Sunday at the Nepean Sportsplex. Smiths Falls took control early with first-period power-play goals from Riopel and Smith, followed by Riopel’s second of the night to build a 3–0 lead. Colson added a late shorthanded tally in the second, and Heron sealed the victory with an empty-netter. Larkin scored Nepean’s lone goal in the loss. Bears goaltender Tremblay was solid, stopping 29 of 30 shots, while Brant made 30 saves for Nepean.
Carleton Place 6, Brockville 4
The Carleton Place Canadians came away with a 6–4 victory over the Brockville Braves on Sunday afternoon at the Carleton Place Arena. After an even first period, Carleton Place surged ahead in the second with goals from Collins-Williams, McVie-Stevenson, and Landriault to take control. Brockville closed the gap in the third with goals from Vohra and D’Arcy, but McVie-Stevenson’s late empty-netter sealed the win. Wilson and Neil also contributed first-period goals for the Canadians, while Lumsden and Buller tallied for Brockville. Conway made 24 saves in the Carleton Place net, while Caley turned aside 28 shots for the Braves.
Navan 3, Kemptville 0
The Navan Grads shut out the Kemptville 73’s 3–0 on Sunday afternoon at the Fred Barrett Arena. After a scoreless opening frame, D’Urso broke the deadlock with a second-period power-play goal, assisted by Paris and Barlas. Barlas added insurance midway through the third, and Lindsay sealed the win with an empty-net tally in the final minutes. Goaltender Flemming was perfect for Navan, stopping all 23 shots faced for his seventh win of the season. Donovan made 17 saves in a solid effort for Kemptville.
Ottawa 2, Pembroke 1
The Ottawa Jr. Senators beat the Pembroke Lumber Kings 2–1 in a tight matchup at the Pembroke Memorial Centre on Sunday night. Ottawa opened the scoring with Valette’s first-period goal, before Pembroke’s Delage responded minutes later to tie the game. After a scoreless middle frame, Deschatelets netted the game-winner late in the third to secure the victory. Goaltender Scully was sharp for the Jr. Senators, stopping 25 of 26 shots to earn his ninth win of the season. Heideman turned aside 33 shots in a strong performance for Pembroke.
