Smiths Falls 2, Ottawa 1
The Smiths Falls Bears built an early cushion and held on for a 2–1 win over the Ottawa Jr. Senators at the Smiths Falls Memorial Centre. Carvalho opened the scoring at 2:58 of the first, finishing a feed from Heron and Ott, and Benoit doubled the lead late in the period off passes from Smith and Hails. After a scoreless second, Kane got Ottawa on the board at 11:32 of the third, assisted by Campbell and Lachapelle, but it wasn’t enough. Ruddy made 20 saves on 21 shots for Smiths Falls, while Morvan stopped 31 of 33 in a strong effort for Ottawa. With the victory, the Bears take a commanding three game to none lead in their second round Bogart Cup series.
