The Smiths Falls Bears rolled to a 7–2 win over the Ottawa Jr. Senators on Sunday night at the Jim Durrell Sports Complex. Benoit struck just 12 seconds in, sparking a three-goal first that also saw Heron score on the power play and Blais add another. The Bears kept rolling in the second with goals from Blais, Heins, and Benoit on the power play. Parker extended the lead early in the third before Ottawa responded with goals from Valette and Tellier. Ruddy made 17 saves on 19 shots for the win. Morvan allowed three goals on six shots, while Meringa stopped 21 of 25 in relief for Ottawa.
