The Smiths Falls Bears defeated the Ottawa Jr. Senators 2–1 on Saturday night at the Jim Durrell Sports Complex. Heins opened the scoring on the power play at 10:00 of the first from Benoit and Hails. Parker added an even-strength goal 1:15 later, assisted by Beauchesne. Lobe responded for Ottawa early in the second with a power-play marker from Campbell and Mongeon. No further scoring followed. Ruddy made 25 saves on 26 shots, while Morvan stopped 21 of 23 shots.
Renfrew 4, Brockville 3 (SO)
The Renfrew Wolves defeated the Brockville Braves 4–3 in a shootout on Saturday night at the MyFM Centre Recreation Complex. Paron opened the scoring, and Harry responded late in the first. Collins-Williams gave Renfrew a power-play lead in the second before McNally tied it. Sled put Brockville ahead in the third, but Harris equalized at 16:40. After a scoreless overtime, Paron recorded the lone shootout goal. Ogini made 30 saves on 33 shots; Caley stopped 35 of 38 shots.
