Rockland 7, Pembroke 2
The Rockland Nationals defeated the Pembroke Lumber Kings 7–2 on Friday night at the Rockland Arena. Kelloway opened the scoring on the power play at 6:03 of the first, followed by a power-play goal from Garneau at 7:59. Belleau made it 3–0 early in the second before Ryan responded for Pembroke. Dinis scored late in the period to restore a three-goal lead. In the third, Brunet scored twice, with Le Houillier adding a power-play goal between them. Lavallee recorded Pembroke’s second goal. Jack Ferguson made 52 saves on 59 shots in nets for the Lumber Kings while his brother Ty Ferguson stopped 22 of 24 in the Nationals crease for the victory.
Brockville 5, Carleton Place 2
The Brockville Braves defeated the Carleton Place Canadians 5–2 on Friday night at the Brockville Memorial Centre. Vohra opened the scoring in the first period. Lapier tied the game with a second-period power-play goal and would then give Carleton Place a 2–1 lead early in the third with his second of the night. Gill responded to equalize, and Fedele put Brockville ahead on the power play. Lumsden added an insurance marker, and Sled sealed the result late. Carleton Place was 1-for-2. Caley made 30 saves on 32 shots; Larocque stopped 26 of 31.
Navan 5, Ottawa 3
The Navan Grads defeated the Ottawa Jr. Senators 5–3 on Friday night at the Navan Memorial Centre. Gauthier opened the scoring on a first-period power play. Lindsay scored twice on the power play in the second, and Robertson added an even-strength goal to give Navan a 3–1 lead. Knight extended the margin with two third-period goals. Lachapelle scored twice in the final minute for Ottawa but it wasn’t enough to complete the comeback. Blais made 36 saves on 39 shots for Navan, while Meringa stopped 19 of 24 shots for Ottawa.
Nepean 2, Smiths Falls 1
The Nepean Raiders upset the Smiths Falls Bears 2–1 on Friday night at the Smiths Falls Memorial Centre. After a scoreless first period, English opened the scoring at 4:09 of the second from Leblanc and Yates. Konobelj extended the lead at 13:05, finishing a setup by Kozyra and Leblanc. Beauchesne brought Smiths Falls within one at 19:30 of the third, but they could not complete the comeback. Grant was solid in the blue paint making 41 saves on 42 shots for Nepean, while Heideman stopped 12 of 14 shots for Smiths Falls.
Kemptville 5, Hawkesbury 1
The Kemptville 73’s defeated the Hawkesbury Hawks 5–1 at the North Grenville Municipal Centre on Friday night. Achim opened the scoring at 2:46 of the first period, and Venance added a second at 5:54. McDougall extended the lead in the second period with assists from Achim and Henderson. Lalonde responded late in the frame for Hawkesbury. In the third, Davis scored from Henderson and Clookey, and Mbarushimana completed the scoring from Venance and Sweetapple. Donovan made 22 saves on 23 shots, while Michelow stopped 49 of 54 shots.
