Morning Recap | Ten teams in action over busy Friday night of hockey

 

Ottawa, ON – There were five games of action Friday night across the region, with Brockville, Hawkesbury, Smiths Falls, Nepean, and Rockland picking up wins.

 

F | BROCKVILLE 4 PEMBROKE 1

Justin McRae (2), Troy Bowditch, and Josh Spratt tallied goals, while Jake Begley made 31-saves as Brockville improved to 7-3-3-0 on the year. Pembroke saw their record fall to 8-6-0-0.

 

F | HAWKESBURY 5 NAVAN 4 

Matt Gasuik, Luke Grainger, Azzaro Tinling, Jeremie Payant, and Patrick Callahan all found the net, while Mathieu Chenier made 31-saves as Hawkesbury improved their season record to 9-6-0-0. Navan fell to 6-7-0-0, receiving goals from Mason Goldie (2), Devyn Orpana, and Jean-Sylvain Boyer.

 

F | SMITHS FALLS 4 CARLETON PLACE 0

Theo Todd, Brendan Dempsey, Tate Leeson, and Nicolas Lariviere tallied goals, while Victor Desjardins had a 27-save shutout as Smiths Falls picked up a huge victory over the top place Canadins to improve to 4-8-0-1 on the year. Carleton Place fell to 13-3-0-0.

 

F | ROCKLAND 3 CORNWALL 2

Andrew Aboumossa, Aidan Hilton, and Cameron Scrivens scored, while Cyrus Martin made 32-saves as Rockland improved to 9-4-0-0 on the season. Cornwall fell to 3-10-0-1 on the year, getting both their goals from Sam Gaudreau, while Rico Dimatteo made 34-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | NEPEAN 4 KEMPTVILLE 3

Tyson Tomasini, Jake Jurgeneit, Matt McQuade, and Patrick Maule found the net, while Tyler Laureault was sensational making 47-saves as Nepean improved to 2-11-1-1 this season. Jared Patterson, Cole Dennison, and Chase Broda responded for Kemptville, while Riley McCabe made 26-saves as the 73’s fell to 4-7-2-0.
