Morning Playoff Recap | Nationals take 2-0 lead on Hawks while Braves go up 1-0 on Bears

 

Ottawa, ON – Two games on the Bogart Cup playoff schedule on Tuesday night saw the Rockland Nationals take a 2-0 series lead on the Hawkesbury Hawks while the Brockville Braves went up 1-0 in their series with the Smiths Falls Bears.

Matthew Vermaeten, Griffin McGregor, Nicholas Wildgoose, and Gunnar Smith all tallied goals, while Joseph Giacobbo made 44-saves as Rockland took a 2-0 series lead on Hawkesbury.

Scoring for the Hawks were Jeremie Lavallee and Luke Grainger, while Matthew Petizian made 29-saves in the loss.

 

F | BROCKVILLE 2 SMITHS FALLS 1 OT

Sam Allison tied the game in the third period, and notched the overtime winner as well, while Antoine Bourdeau made 34-saves as Brockville took a 1-0 series lead on the Smiths Falls Bears.

Fletcher Anderson had the lone Bears goal, while Jake Smith made 35-saves in the losing effort.
