Jack Quinn named the Top Prospect of the Year

Ottawa, Ontario – The Central Canada Hockey League is proud to announce that Kanata Lasers forward, Jack Quinn, has been named the 2017-2018 Top Prospect of the Year.

Quinn, 16, had a great 1st season with the Kanata Lasers. In his 49 games played with the Lasers, Quinn scored 21 goals and totaled 25 assists.

Quinn’s play has not gone unnoticed by his teammates.

“Quinners {Quinn’s} been a special player from day 1 this year.” said Kanata Lasers forward, Bennett Stockdale. “Not to many players can step right into this league and have the confidence that he has.”

Stockdale also talked about how his presence in the locker room also helps make teammates play better.

Stockdale said “It rubs off on everyone around him and it be tough to say where’d we be as a team with out him. Going into playoffs I think that confidence and grit he plays with will only help him and our team going forward.”

Cameron Beaudry, defenseman for the Kanata Lasers, also talked about how Quinn’s presence resonates with teammates.

“He is a guy everyone gravitates to in the dressing room.” said Beaudry. “On the ice he is a skilled player who makes everyone around him better.”

Quinn was recently named to the CCHL All-Rookie team and has already won the CCHL Top Rookie Award.
