Day 4 Blog | Junior Club World Cup | Ottawa Capitals land in Sochi

Sochi, RU –

Day 4 was yet another busy one, including an early wake-up and trip to the arena to load all of the hockey gear before touring to the airport to say goodbye to Moscow and take the long-anticipated journey to Sochi. It was roughly a 3-hour flight with the team landing in Sochi around 4:30pm (9:30am ET).

From there the team loaded their gear to be transported to the tournament venue (The Shayba Arena) which will be talked about more thoroughly in tomorrow’s blog.

The Capitals then boarded their bus to get them to the Sochi Tulip Inn Omega Hotel.  Located in the Olympic Village, the hotel offers a beautiful view of the Caucasus Mountains and Black Sea.  After the players and staff enjoyed a very delicious dinner, they would be back in their rooms to get some well-needed rest.
