Cranford's goals lift Ottawa to 3-0 victory over Kemptville

 

The Ottawa Senators relied on the scoring touch of Ryan Cranford, who netted two goals, to beat the Kemptville 73s, 3-0.

Cranford scored on the power play at 7:07 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Ottawa and again while 6:42 into the third to make the score 3-0 Ottawa.

 

Ottawa stifled Kemptville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Senators' defensive play was more effective than usual against the 73s. Ottawa averages 2.2 goals allowed per game.

Ottawa also got a goal from Connor Bebb as well. In addition, Ottawa received assists from Robert Michel, Alexandre Way, Isaac Anderson, and Joey Champigny, who contributed one each.

Kemptville was held below its usual level of production. The 73s average 3.5 goals per game.

Alexandre Savard-Belanger rejected 21 shots on goal for the Senators. Ottawa incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Nicholas Hodgins recorded 23 saves for Kemptville. The 73s incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
