Corporate Hype/CCM Player/Goalie/Rookie of the Month

The Central Canada Junior A Hockey League (CCHL) is pleased to announce the Corporate Hype/CCM Player/Goalie/Rookie of the Month awards for November. The same team boasts two of the three award winners. The Player of the Month is Robert Michel of the Ottawa Jr. Senators who are currently first overall in the Yzerman Division and second overall in the CCHL. Michel has been outstanding all year for the #15 nationally ranked Jr. Senators and led his team to an impressive 7-0-1 record for the month. In November he collected 10 (5G, 5A) points in eight games, currently third in team scoring and leads all defenseman in overall league scoring with 32 (12G, 20A) points. The Camillus, NY native recently committed to the University of Maine where he will continue to develop into a top-end defenseman at the collegiate level. The Goalie of the Month is Smiths Falls Bears Michael PiniosPinios was a perfect 7-0 winning all of his starts, included four shoot-out wins and earning two game stars. The Bears netminder boasted an outstanding 2.31 Goals Against and .924 Save Percentage for November. The Montreal, QC is 14-2-1-3 overall, 2nd in overall wins and top ten in statistics with a 2.75 Goals Against and .909 Save Percentage. Joining Pinios in the monthly honors is teammate Josh Leblanc who earns Rookie of the Month. Leblanc had a break-out month for the Bears with 8 (2G, 6A) points in nine games. The first year Bears forward is currently sixth in team scoring with 18 (7G, 11A) points and continues to improve every game.
