Commitment Alert | Nationals Josh Norman heading to NCAA UMass Boston

Ottawa, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Rockland Nationals are pleased to announce that forward Josh Norman has committed to NCAA UMass Boston for the 2019-20 season.

The 1998 born Olmstead Township, OH native recently completed his final year of junior hockey where he registered 18 goals and totaled 37 points in 58 combined regular season and playoff games.

“Being with Rockland for my final year of junior hockey was the best,” said Norman. “They have an amazing staff that helps give the players the best opportunity to develop and improve. I am thankful I was given the opportunity to play with such a great group of guys. On the other hand, I am ecstatic to be able to keep the dream alive playing NCAA hockey, especially in Boston. I am looking forward to what comes next.”

Prior to his time in the CCHL, Norman played in the NAHL for the Johnstown Tomahawks and Springfield Jr Blues between 2016 and 2018 before making his way to Canada to suit up for the Blind River Beavers of the NOJHL. The Nationals acquired his playing rights from Blind River in the summer of 2018.
