Commitment Alert | Nationals Gunnar Smith commits to NCAA Skidmore College

 

The Central Canada Hockey League and Rockland Nationals are pleased to announce that forward Gunnar Smith has committed to NCAA Division 3 Skidmore College for 2020-21.

The 1999 born Bethlehem, PA native recently finished his final year of junior hockey, where he finished second on his club in scoring with 64 points (21G, 43A) in 61 games of action. In 122 career games between the Nationals and Kanata Lasers, the feisty winger contributed 110 points (32G, 78A). 

Prior to his time in the CCHL, Smith played in the Don Mills Flyers AAA program before playing junior in the EHL and T1EHL in the United States.

He becomes the fifth member of the 2019-20 Nationals lineup to make a college commitment, joining Simon Labelle (Colgate), Cole Craft (Lake Superior), Matthew Vermaeten (Canisius), and David Lafrance (Robert Morris).
