Commitment Alert | Lumber Kings Jacob Collins commits to U Sports Nipissing University

 

Ottawa, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Pembroke Lumber Kings are pleased to announce that forward Jacob Collins has committed to Nipissing University of U Sports for the 2019-20 season.

The 1998 born Renfrew, ON native tallied 18 goals and totaled 38 points in 59 games for the Lumber Kings this past season.

It was his first season of CCHL action since he affiliated for five games back in 2014-15 prior to a 4-year career in the Ontario Hockey League with Flint Firebirds. In 204 OHL games, Collins totaled 31 points (10G, 21A).

He now makes the jump to the Canadian collegiate level with the Nipissing University Lakers hockey program in North Bay, ON. He is the second CCHL talent to be heading off to the Lakers, joining Hawkesbury Hawks Matthew Titus who recently committed there.
