Ottawa, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Hawkesbury Hawks are pleased to announce that goaltender Matthew Petizian has committed to attend NCAA Division 3 SUNY Geneseo for the 2019-20 school season.
The 1998 born Mississauga, ON native is in his second season with the Hawks where he leads the league in Wins (28), and Shutouts (7), while sporting a solid 2.35 GAA and .923 SV%.
“Matt is a first class goaltender”, said Hawks Head Coach Rick Dorval. “The numbers he has clearly don’t lie, and he has done this at every level he’s played at. “They are getting an absolute gem in Matt”.
Prior to his time in the CCHL, Matt attended Northwood Prep where he spent 3 seasons. He is a graduate of the North York Rangers AAA program.
