Commitment Alert | Hawks Dovar Tinling commits to NCAA University of Vermont

 

The Central Canada Hockey League and Hawkesbury Hawks are pleased to announce that forward Dovar Tinling has committed to NCAA Division 1 University of Vermont for 2021-22.

The 2003 born Pointe-Claire, QC native was electric in his rookie season for the Hawks, totaling 51 points (21G, 30A) in 50 games of action. He was named to the CCHL All-Rookie Team and brought home Rookie of the Year honours. He was also named to the CCHL High School All-Academic Team for his exceptional work in the classroom. 

On top of his strong season on and off the ice with the Hawks, he helped Team Canada East to a Silver Medal at the 2019 World Junior A Challenge where he totaled 2 points (1G, 1A) in 4 games of action.

Tinling is the sixth member of the 2019-20 Hawks to make a college/university commitment, joining his brother Azzaro Tinling (University of Vermont), Luke Grainger (University of Western Michigan), Patrick Callahan (Bowdoin College), Zach Johnson (Minot State University), and Sebastien Paquette (SUNY Canton).
