Commitment Alert | Grads Braeden McKinnon commits to NCAA Anna Maria College

NAVAN, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Navan Grads are pleased to announce that 2001 born Holland Landing, ON native Braeden McKinnon has committed to NCAA Anna Maria College for the 2022-23 school year.

McKinnon was acquired by the Navan Grads at the January 2022 trade deadline from Stouffville. In his brief time in Navan, he quickly earned the trust of the coaching staff and respect of his teammates. McKinnon’s tireless work ethic and tenacity was on full display during the 2022 CCHL playoffs; he finished tied for 2nd in team scoring and registered a point-per-game with 2 goals, 4 assists and 6 points.

Navan Grads Head Coach and General Manager Marty Abrams offered his congratulations to Braeden on his commitment to Anna Maria College, “We are pleased to announce Braeden’s commitment to Anna Maria. During his time in Navan, Braeden contributed in many ways, and we are confident he will continue his development under Coach McCauley. It’s always special when you obtain a player in season via trade and have it work out this well. Braeden was a pleasure to coach, and I look forward to watching his next step to college hockey.”

McKinnon is thrilled about the opportunity to join the Anna Maria Amcats program next season, “I’m looking forward to furthering academic and hockey career at Anna Maria College. I’d like to thank my parents and the coaches at Navan for helping me become a better hockey player.”
