Commitment Alert | Colts Michael Carr heading to NCAA Bemidji State

Ottawa, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Cornwall Colts are pleased to announce that goaltender Michael Carr has committed to NCAA Bemidji State University for the 2019-20 school year.

The 1998 born Columbus, OH native is in his second season of CCHL hockey with the Colts, where he has posted a 22-24-5 record, with a 2.85 GAA, and .920 SV%. He is currently on pace to break both he Games Played and Minutes Played records by a goalie in a single season.

“I am super excited for this opportunity,” said Carr. “It is pretty much every Americans dream to play Division 1 and I am thrilled to be able to play with such a great school and league. Playing in the CCHL has definitely helped me grow as a young man and player. Playing against older guys and living on your own forces you to elevate your game to be successful. I am so thankful for the Colts organization and the City of Cornwall for welcoming me and making me feel at home these past two years.”

Prior to his time in the CCHL, Carr spent two seasons at Gilmour Academy Prep in Ohio.
