OTTAWA, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Cornwall Colts are pleased to announce that defenseman Benjamin Dirven has committed to USPORTS University of Toronto for 2021-22.
The 2000 born native of Bainsville, ON spent the past four seasons in the CCHL with both the Colts and Brockville Braves. In 183 career games, the two-way defenseman totaled 62 points (24G, 38A). He was a member of the Bronze Medal winning CCHL Select squad who represented Canada at the 2018 Junior Club World Cup in Sochi, Russia.
Prior to his time in the CCHL, Dirven played for the Cornwall Colts U18 program within the HEO U18 AAA league. He is a product of the Eastern Ontario Wild AAA and Seaway Valley AA programs.
