Ottawa, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Carleton Place Canadians are pleased to announce that forward Cole Beckstead has committed to NCAA Division 3 Skidmore College for the 2019-20 season.
The 1998 born Morrisburg, ON native recently completed his final season of junior hockey with the Canadians after coming over in a trade from the Kingston Voyageurs of the Ontario Junior Hockey League. In 36 regular season and playoff games with Carleton Place, Beckstead totaled 23 points (12G, 11A). In 226 career games between Carleton Place and Kingston, he tallied 36 goals and totaled 148 points.
Prior to his junior career, Beckstead suited up for both the AA Rideau St. Lawrence Kings and AAA Upper Canada Cyclones.
