Commitment Alert | Braves Konnor MacCormick commits to University of Ottawa

Ottawa, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Brockville Braves are pleased to announce that forward Konnor MacCormick has committed to U Sports University of Ottawa for the 2020-21 season.

“I am super excited to be continuing my hockey career and getting an education at such a great school,” MacCormick stated. “I couldn’t have done this without my family, coaches, friends, and everybody else that helped me along the way. I couldn’t be more excited and thankful for the opportunity.  I cannot wait to be a GeeGee.”

MacCormick also had some nice comments regarding his current and past team.

“I would also like to say that it was awesome getting to play for the team I grew up watching and always wanted to play for. I would not be where I am if the Colts hadn’t given me a chance as a 16-year old and I am very grateful for my four years in Cornwall.”

Now with the Brockville Braves after an early season trade, the 1999 born Ingleside, ON native currently sits second in Braves scoring with 20 points (4G, 16A) through 14 games of action.

“I am excited to be part of a first class organization in Brockville and look forward to making a run for the CCHL Championship this year,” said MacCormick. “I have been very lucky to have such amazing teammates in both Cornwall and Brockville over the last five years while playing in a great league.”

In 231 career regular season and playoff games between the Braves and Cornwall Colts, the gritty two-way forward has totaled 152 points (57G, 95A).
