OTTAWA, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Brockville Braves are pleased to announce that defenseman Kevin Fitzgerald has committed to NCAA University of Connecticut.
The 2004 born Bath, ON native is in his first season with the Braves organization where he has chipped in with 4 points (1G, 3A) in 13 Development Scrimmages to date.
Fitzgerald, a mobile defenseman who is strong and quick on his skates with a smooth stride has a ton of upside at just 16-years old. He can log big minutes and although he is considered undersized for the position he plays, he does not shy away from the physical side of the games at all.
Prior to his time wearing the Red & Black, Fitzgerald came up through the minor hockey ranks with Kingston of the Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF).
