SMITHS FALLS, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Smiths Falls Bears are pleased to announce that 2002 born Ottawa, ON native Will McEvoy has committed to NCAA Connecticut College for the 2023-24 school year.
McEvoy, recently completed his final season of Junior hockey with the Bears, where he posted a 28-9-1-1 record, with a 2.87 GAA, .912 SV%, and 1 shutout. He would go on to post an 11-6-0-0 playoff record with a 2.47 GAA, .926 SV% and 4 shutouts. McEvoy finished his CCHL career with a 58-26-5 record in 95 career combined regular season and playoff games played between the Bears and Brockville Braves.
Prior to his time in the CCHL, McEvoy played 1 season at Stanstead College (18-19), 1 season with the Ottawa West Golden Knights (17-18), and 1 season with the Rockland Nationals U18AAA program (16-17).
He is a product of the Ottawa 67’s AAA Minor Hockey program.
