Commitment Alert | Bears Theo Todd commits to Laurentian University

The Central Canada Hockey League and Smiths Falls Bears are pleased to announce that forward Theo Todd has committed to U Sports Laurentian University for the 2020-21 season.

The 1999 born Kemptville, ON native recently completed his final season of junior hockey with the Bears, where he collected 68 points (26G, 42A) in 61 games of action. In 129 career combined regular season and playoff match-ups, the skilled offensive forward totaled 122 points (44G, 78A).

Prior to his time with the Bears, Todd played in the CCHL2 with the Athens Aeros (2017-18) and Brockville Braves U18 of HEO U18 AAA (2016-17). He is a product of the Rideau St. Lawrence Kings Minor Hockey program.

“I am really looking forward to the opportunity that Laurentian University has offered me,” said Todd. “I have heard many great things and I think it will be the best fit for me. I cannot say enough good things about the Smiths Falls Bears. We had an incredible management and coaching staff and the past two years as a member of the Bears organization have been hands down the best two years of my life.”

Todd is the fifth member of the 2019-20 Bears to make a college/university commitment, joining Ryan Richardson (Clarkson University), Brendan Dempsey (SUNY Fredonia), Shawn Sloan (SUNY Canton), and Tate Leeson (Bryn Athyn College).
