Commitment Alert | Bears Tate Leeson commits to NCAA Bryn Athyn College

 

The Central Canada Hockey League and Smiths Falls Bears are pleased to announce that forward Tate Leeson has committed to NCAA Division 3 Bryn Athyn College for the 2020-21 season.

The 1999 born Smiths Falls, ON native recently completed his final season of junior hockey with his hometown Bears, where he totaled 71 points (28G, 43A) in 59 games of action. For his efforts he was named to the CCHL All-Graduate Team. In 142 career combined regular season and playoff games, Leeson totaled 126 points (59G, 67A).

Prior to his time with the Bears, the skilled offensive forward played in the CCHL2 with the Richmond Royals and Athens Aeros where he totaled 112 points (40G, 72A) in 89 games. He is a product of the Rideau St. Lawrence Kings AA Minor Hockey program. 

Leeson becomes the fourth member of the 2019-20 Bears to make a college commitment, joining Ryan Richardson (Clarkson University), Brendan Dempsey (SUNY Fredonia), and Shawn Sloan (SUNY Canton).
