Commitment Alert | 73’s Jack York commits to Western University

 

OTTAWA, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Kemptville 73’s are pleased to announce that defenseman Jack York has committed to attend USports Western University in the fall of 2021.

The 2000 born Kanata, ON native is currently back playing junior hockey where it all began as a member of the 73’s after playing over 200 games at the Major Junior level between the Ontario Hockey League and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Over his four years between the Kitchener Rangers, Barrie Colts, Peterborough Petes, and Shawinigan Cataractes, York totaled 62 points (16G, 46A). As a CCHL rookie back in 2016-17, York totaled 14 points (6G, 8A) in 61 combined regular season and playoff games.

York is the second member of the current 73’s roster to have a college commitment in place, joining defenseman Evan Mitchell who is committed to NCAA St. Lawrence University for the 2021-22 season.
