CJHL Finalists For Top Goaltender Award – Rylan Donovan

Ottawa, ON – The Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) announced Thursday the finalists for its Top Goaltender Award for the 2025-26 campaign.

Each of the finalists were determined through a voting process completed by the CJHL’s nine-member leagues, for their respective efforts during the course of the regular season.

Among those on the list was Kemptville 73’s netminder Rylan Donovan. The 2005-born goaltender led the CCHL with 25 wins and recorded a CCHL-best seven shutouts. While playing a league-high 2,137 minutes, his 2.22 goals-against average was second best in the league.

Donovan also had a .917 save percentage, which ranked sixth in the league. He recorded back-to-back shutouts on two separate occasions and had a nine-game win streak at one point during there CCHL regular season, helping Kemptville finish fourth overall in the CCHL standings and qualify for the playoffs.

Donovan was named a weekly star twice, earned Goalkeeper of the Month honours once and was later awarded CCHL Top Goaltender of the Year honours.
