CJHL Finalists For Most Valuable Player Award – Gabriel Le Houillier

Ottawa, ON – The Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) announced Tuesday the names of the five individuals that have been selected finalists for its Most Valuable Player Award in the 2025-26 season.

Each of the finalists were determined through a voting process completed by the CJHL’s nine-member leagues, for their respective efforts during the course of the regular season.

Among those on the list was Rockland Nationals forward Gabriel Le Houillier. Le Houillier delivered a truly dominant offensive threat during the 2025–26 CCHL season, establishing himself as one of the premier players across the country. He recorded an exceptional 120 points in just 52 games, including (59G, 61A), finishing 17 points ahead of the next closest scorer in the league and 12 points clear of any player across the entire CJHL.

Le Houillier led or shared the league lead in several key offensive categories, including power-play goals (13), game-winning goals (15), empty-net goals (4), and insurance goals (8), while averaging more than 19 minutes of ice time per game. His impact was also reflected in his 15 first-star selections—double that of any other player in the CCHL.

In recognition of his outstanding season, Le Houillier captured four major league awards, including Top Scorer, Most Valuable Player, and the Arthur K. Neilsen Scholarship/Ability Award. He was named a league star eight times, earned Performer of the Month honours on three occasions, and was recognized nationally as the CJHL First Star of the Month for January, with additional honourable mentions in November and February.

Congratulations on being named to the CJHL’s list of finalists!
