CCHL Recap | Wolves, Braves, 73’s, and Bears Friday winners

 

OTTAWA, ON – Four games of CCHL action Friday saw wins from the Renfrew Wolves, Brockville Braves, Kemptville 73’s, and Smiths Falls Bears.

 

F | RENFREW 6 HAWKESBURY 1

Tyson Tomasini and Noah Vom Scheidt scored two goals apiece, Brock Mierzejewski and Joey Kennelly also scored, while Sebastian Resar made 43-saves as Renfrew improved to 24-13-3-3. Hawkesbury, who fell to 24-13-4-3, had their lone goal from Jakson Kirk in the loss.

 

F | BROCKVILLE 3 NAVAN 2 OT

Matt Yeager and Kyle Powers scored in regulation, Colin Elliott had the OT winner, while Sami Molu made 28-saves as Brockville improved to 23-16-4-1. Navan, who dropped to 29-11-4-0, had goals from Owen Parsons and Simon Singher, while Braedyn McIntosh made 42-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | KEMPTVILLE 8 NEPEAN 4

Nathan Merrett and Hunter Brazier scored twice each, Matthew O’Doherty, Ty Whyte, Benjamin Campeau, and Carter Vollett added singles, while Alex Musielak made 21-saves as Kemptville improved their season record to 20-18-4-1. Nepean, who fell to 10-31-1-3, had goals from Jack Matsukubo, Nicolas Papineau, Joshua Reid, and Luke Posthumus in the loss.

 

F | SMITHS FALLS 4 ROCKLAND 3 OT

Matthew Dimaline, Conor Ronayne, and Hunter Brown scored in regulation, Sean James was the overtime hero, while Will McEvoy made 31-saves as Smiths Falls improved to 28-13-1-2. Rockland, who dropped to 17-17-4-3, had goals from Zach Power, Tim Cousineau, and Victor Barakett, while Hadyn Gould made 35-saves in the losing effort.
