CCHL Recap | Wolves, Bears, and Junior Senators win Saturday

 

OTTAWA, ON – Three games across the CCHL region Saturday saw victories from the Renfrew Wolves, Smiths Falls Bears, and Ottawa Junior Senators.

Joey Kennelly had a hat-trick, Noah Vom Scheidt, Trent Scullion, Brock Mierzejewski, Tyson Tomasini, and Elvis Slack added singles, while Sebastian Resar made 32-saves as Renfrew improved to 19-10-1-2 on the season. Nepean, who fell to 8-21-1-3, had goals from Jordan Graham and Owen Hardy in the loss.

 

F | SMITHS FALLS 7 ROCKLAND 3

Riley Thompson, Jesse Lumsden, Thomas Gangl, Alex McIntosh, Sean James, Trevor Faucher, and Finnegan Kilmurray found the back of the net, while Will McEvoy made 30-saves as Smiths Falls improved their season record to 22-9-1-2. Rockland, who dropped to a record of 14-14-2-2, had goals from Jonathan Swyer, Patrick Lanthier, and Jordan Prepszl in the loss.

Massimo Gentile netted a hat-trick, Liam Lucas, Mickael Hebert, and Xavier Guillemette also scored, while Connor Shibley had a 22-save shutout as Ottawa improved their CCHL-best record to 27-5-2-1. Brockville fell to 16-15-2-1.
