CCHL Recap | Winter Showcase Results

 

KEMPTVILLE, ON – All twelve teams were in action on Tuesday at the 2023 CCHL Winter Showcase in Kemptville, ON as the players had an opportunity to compete in front of a large number of NCAA, USPORTS, and Major Junior representatives in attendance. 

 

F | SMITHS FALLS 4 OTTAWA 3 SO

Sean James scored twice, Owen Watson added a single, Conor Ronayne netted the shootout winner, while Will McEvoy made 17-saves as Smiths Falls improved to 21-9-1-2 on the season. Ottawa, who fell to 26-5-2-1, had goals from Massimo Gentile, Zachary Losier, and Mickael Hebert, while Rorke Applebee made 41-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | CORNWALL 3 PEMBROKE 0

Chaka-Benjamin Ntumba-Muntu, Keanu Krenn, and Bradley Fraser found the back of the net, while Dax Easter had a 27-save shutout as Cornwall improved to 14-18-1-0 on the season. Pembroke, who fell to a record of 7-19-1-1, had a 39-save effort from Ben Forget in the loss.

 

F | RENFREW 2 NAVAN 1 OT

Tyson Phare scored in regulation, Elvis Slack was the OT hero, while Sebastian rear made 28-saves as Renfrew improved to 18-9-1-2 on the year. Navan, who fell to 22-9-3-0, had their lone goal from Noah Carpenter, while Braedyn McIntosh made 30-saves in the loss.

 

F | KEMPTVILLE 5 CARLETON PLACE 3

Emile Trottier, Khaden Henry, Matthew O’Doherty, Tyler Melvin, and Grady Logue scored goals, while Alex Musielak made 37-saves as Kemptville improved to a record of 12-14-4-1. Carleton Place, who fell to 18-11-0-2, had goals from Aidan Cooper, Brandon Walker, and Matteo Disipio, while Joe Chambers made 29-saves in the loss.

 

F | BROCKVILLE 5 NEPEAN 0

Eric Barnard, Matt Yeager, Jake Laville, Ty Henry, and Nathaniel Burelle tallied goals, while Sami Molu had a 19-save shutout as Brockville improved to 15-14-2-1. Nepean, who fell to 7-20-1-3, had a 36-save effort from Luca Sandu in the loss.

 

F | HAWKESBURY 4 ROCKLAND 1

Remi Gelinas, Nathan Gagne, Aidan Stubbings, and Jakson Kirk found the back of the net, while Dekon Randell-Snow made 23-saves as Hawkesbury improved to 17-11-3-3 on the season. Rockland, who dropped to 14-13-2-2, had their lone goal from Xavier Laurent, while Hadyn Gould finished with 14-saves in the loss.
