CCHL Recap | Nationals and Bears Tuesday winners

 

OTTAWA, ON – Two games across the CCHL circuit on Tuesday saw the Rockland Nationals and Smiths Falls Bears earn victories.

 

F | ROCKLAND 2 NAVAN 1 SO

Zach Power scored late in regulation to tie it up, Tim Cousineau was the shootout winner for the second straight game, while Hadyn Gould finished with 22-saves as Rockland improved to 19-19-4-4 on the season. Navan, who fell to 32-12-4-1, had their lone goal from rookie call-up Sam Glover, while Braedyn McIntosh made 41-saves in the loss.

 

F | SMITHS FALLS 6 CARLETON PLACE 0

Owen Watson scored twice, Thomas Haynes, Sean James, Trevor Faucher, and Ty Campbell also scored, while Will McEvoy had a 20-save shutout as Smiths Falls improved to 32-13-1-2 on the season. Carleton Place fell to 29-17-1-2 with the loss.
