CCHL Recap | Junior Senators, Bears, Nationals, Canadians, and Grads win Sunday

 

OTTAWA, ON – Five matinee match-ups across the CCHL on Super Bowl Sunday saw victories from the Ottawa Junior Senators, Smiths Falls Bears, Rockland Nationals, Carleton Place Canadians, and Navan Grads. 

 

F | OTTAWA 4 RENFREW 3

Massimo Gentile, Zachary Losier, Braxton Ross, and Chase Lammi scored goals, while Rorke Applebee made 36-saves as Ottawa improved to 32-8-3-2. Renfrew, who fell to 23-13-3-3, had goals from Elvis Slack, Tyson Phare, and Aaron Enright.

 

F | SMITHS FALLS 4 PEMBROKE 3

Trevor Faucher, Alec Hamady, Kyle Dagg, and Thomas Haynes scored goals, while Will McEvoy made 38-saves as Smiths Falls improved to 26-13-1-2 on the season. Pembroke, who fell to 8-30-2-2, had goals from Colin Vassallo, Pratt Stetson, and Cam Hicklin, while Isaac Wilson made 38-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | NAVAN 4 HAWKESBURY 3

Blake Hall scored twice, Max Donohoe and Gabriel Crete also scored, while Braedyn Mcintosh made 31-saves as Navan improved their season record to 29-11-3-0. Hawkesbury, who fell to 24-12-4-3, had goals from Landon Brownlee, Alex Urbisci, and Felix Sauve, while Dimitri Pelekos made 46-saves in the loss.

 

F | ROCKLAND 5 NEPEAN 3

Patrick Lanthier scored two goals, Victor Barakett, Nicolas White, and Ben Albright also scored, while Hadyn Gould made 34-saves as Rockland improved to 17-17-3-3. Nepean, who dropped to 10-29-1-3, had goals from Luke Posthumus, Owen Hardy, and Alex Boileau, while Luca Sandu made 37-saves on the losing side of things.

 

F | CARLETON PLACE 6 BROCKVILLE 3 

Thomas Dickey scored twice, Bill Gourgon, Aidan Cooper, Matteo Disipio, and Will Soloway added singles, while Jackson Pundyk made 24-saves as Carleton Place improved to 26-15-0-2 on the year. Brockville, who fell to 22-16-4-1, had goals from Spencer Stanutz, Kyle Powers, and Lucas Culhane in the loss.
