CCHL Recap | Hawks, Junior Senators, Bears, Grads, and Raiders Friday winners

 

OTTAWA, ON – Five games across the CCHL region on Friday saw victories from the Hawkesbury Hawks, Ottawa Junior Senators, Smiths Falls Bears, Navan Grads, and Nepean Raiders. 

 

F | HAWKESBURY 4 ROCKLAND 2

Aidan Stubbings, Antoine Dorion, Remi Gelinas, and Landon Brownlee tallied goals, while Dimitri Pelekos made 37-saves as Hawkesbury improved to 29-18-4-3 on the season. Rockland, who fell to 20-21-4-8, had goals from Yanic Crete and Conrad Moline, while Hadyn Gould made 44-saves. With the loss, Rockland was officially eliminated from playoff contention.

 

F | OTTAWA 3 BROCKVILLE 0

Antoine Gauthier, Vincent Velocci, and Liam Lucas found the back of the net, while Rorke Applebee had a 35-save shutout as Ottawa improved their CCHL-best record to 41-8-3-2. Brockville, who fell to 29-17-4-4, had a 27-save performance from Sami Molu in the loss.

 

F | SMITHS FALLS 4 KEMPTVILLE 3

Sean James scored twice, Shaymus Stevenson and Riley Thompson added singles, while Dawson Labre made 43-saves as Smiths Falls improved to 36-15-1-2 on the season. Kemptville, who finished the year 25-24-5-1, had goals from Matthew Yakubowski, Grady Logue, and Coleman Bennett, while Alex Musielak made 33-saves. With the loss, Kemptville was officially eliminated from playoff contention.

 

F | NAVAN 6 CARLETON PLACE 2

Nico Paone, Kyle Slingerland, Cayden Faust, Blake Butler, Tio D’Addario, and Blake Hall scored goals, while Braedyn McIntosh made 29-saves as Navan improved their season record to 37-12-4-1. Carleton Place, who fell to 31-19-2-2, had goals from Cole McGuire and Mathieu Fehr, while Jackson Pundyk made 26-saves in the loss.

 

F | NEPEAN 7 RENFREW 2

Luke Posthumus and Nicholas Larkin scored two goals apiece, Jackson Barnes, Brandon Reinisch, and Jack Matsukubo scored singles, while Joshua Branton made 44-saves as Nepean improved to 12-38-1-3 on the year. Renfrew, who fell to 29-18-4-3, had goals from Tyson Tomasini and Will Ralston in the loss.
