CCHL Recap | Hawks, Bears, 73’s, Junior Senators, and Wolves Friday winners

 

OTTAWA, ON – Five games across the CCHL region on Friday saw victories from the Hawkesbury Hawks, Smiths Falls Bears, Kemptville 73’s, Ottawa Junior Senators, and Renfrew Wolves.

 

F | HAWKESBURY 2 BROCKVILLE 1 SO

Landon Brownlee scored in regulation, Jakson Kirk scored the shootout winner, while Dimitri Pelekos made 39-saves as Hawkesbury improved to 26-14-4-3 on the season. Brockville, who fell to 24-16-4-3, had their lone goal from Matt Yeager, while Sami Molu made 30-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | SMITHS FALLS 4 CORNWALL 3 OT

Riley Thompson scored twice, Kyle James also found the back of the net in regulation, Conor Ronayne was the overtime hero, while Will McEvoy made 20-saves as Smiths Falls improved to 30-13-1-2. Cornwall, who dropped to 21-22-2-2, had two goals from Bradley Fraser, a single from Nathan Garnier, while Dax Easter made 35-saves in the loss.

 

F | KEMPTVILLE 4 NAVAN 2

Grady Logue, Matthew O’Doherty, Carter Vollett, and Hunter Brazier scored goals, while Alex Musielak stopped all 27 shots he faced in a relief appearance as Kemptville improved to 21-19-5-1 on the season. Navan, who fell to 31-12-4-0, had goals from Tio D’Addario and Max Donohoe, while Braedyn McIntosh made 32-saves in the loss.

 

F | OTTAWA 9 ROCKLAND 2

Anton Sorensen and Massimo Gentile scored two goals apiece, Vincent Velocci, Braxton Ross, Chase Lammi, Emile Villiard, and Andrew Uturo scored singles, while Rorke Applebee made 19-saves as Ottawa improved their CCHL-best record to 36-8-3-2. Rockland, who fell to 17-19-4-4, had goals from Peter Freel and Jovan Malay in the loss.

 

F | RENFREW 4 CARLETON PLACE 3

Mac Taylor, Joey Kennelly, Noah Vom Scheidt, and Tyson Tomasini scored goals, while Sebastian Resar made 27-saves as Renfrew improved to 27-14-3-3 on the year. Carleton Place, who fell to 28-16-1-2, had goals from Will Soloway, Derek Hamilton, and Matteo Disipio, while Joe Chambers made 32-saves in the loss.
