CCHL Recap | Grads, Braves, Bears, and Lumber Kings Monday winners

 

OTTAWA, ON – Four games across the CCHL region on Family Day Monday saw victories from the Navan Grads, Brockville Braves, Smiths Falls Bears, and Pembroke Lumber Kings.

 

F | NAVAN 6 CORNWALL 4

Max Donohoe netted a hat-tick, Gabriel Crete, Michael Urgo, and Tio D’Addario also scored, while Braedyn McIntosh made 19-saves as Navan improved to 31-11-4-0 on the season. Cornwall, who fell to 20-22-1-2, had two goals from Bradley Fraser, singles from Kobe Tallman and Chaka-Benjamin Ntumba-Muntu, while Cameron Hollands made 22-saves in the loss.

 

F | BROCKVILLE 2 KEMPTVILLE 1 OT

Aiden Corolan scored in regulation, Nick Foster blasted home the OT winner, while Sami Molu made 32-saves as Brockville improved to 24-16-4-1 on the year. Kemptville, who fell to 20-19-5-1, had their lone goal from Ty Whyte, while Jacob Biron made 31-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | SMITHS FALLS 5 CARLETON PLACE 5 OT

Riley Thompson scored a hat-trick including the overtime winning goal, Owen Watson and Sean James also scored goals, while Will McEvoy made 37-saves as Smiths Falls improved to 29-13-1-2 on the season. Carleton Place, who fell to 27-15-1-2, had two goals from Noah Kinloch-Varga, singles from Mathieu Fehr and Bill Gourgon, while Jackson Pundyk made 37-saves on the losing side of things.

 

F | PEMBROKE 4 RENFREW 3

Cam Hicklin scored two shorthanded goals, Nathan Duck and Sacha Trudel also found the back of the net, while Ben Forget made 38-saves as Pembroke improved to 9-33-2-2 on the season. Renfrew, who fell to 25-14-3-3, had goals from Elvis Slack, Owen Grainger, and Brendan Waivada, while Sebastian Resar made 30-saves in the loss.
