CCHL Recap | Five Game Friday

 

OTTAWA, ON โ€“ There were five games across the CCHL region Friday which saw victories from the Brockville Braves, Renfrew Wolves, Smiths Falls Bears, Kemptville 73’s, and Ottawa Junior Senators.

 

F | BROCKVILLE 5 NEPEAN 0

Lucas Culhane, Eric Barnard, Nick Foster, Thomas Haynes, and Kyle Powers each tallied goals, while Sami Molu had a 34-save shutout as Brockville improved to 11-12-0-0 on the season. Nepean, who fell to 5-15-0-2, had a 29-save effort from Luca Sandu in the loss.

 

F | RENFREW 6 HAWKESBURY 3

Elvis Slack scored twice, Tyson Tomasini, Tyson Phare, Robert Martiniello, and Brendan Waivada added singles, while Sebastian Resar made 27-saves as Renfrew improved to 13-7-1-1 on the season. Hawkesbury, who fell to 11-9-1-3, had goals from Remi Gelinas, Antoine Dorion, and Ryan Liverman, while Devon Randell-Snow made 44-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | SMITHS FALLS 7 NAVAN 3

Owen Watson and Sean James scored two goals apiece, Ty Campbell, Trevor Faucher, and Thomas Gangl also found the net, while Will McEvoy made 31-saves as Smiths Falls improved their record to 16-7-0-1. Navan, who fell to 17-6-2-0, had goals from Devon Savignac, Colin MacDougall, and Simon Singher, while Braedyn McIntosh made 27-saves in a relief appearance.

 

F | KEMPTVILLE 5 CARLETON PLACE 4 SO

Patrick Haughian, Tyler Kelly, Benjamin Campeau, and Nicholas Bennett scored in regulation, Hunter Brazier netted the Shootout winner, while Jacob Biron made 37-saves as Kemptville improved to 9-11-3-0 on the year. Carleton Place, who fell to 12-7-0-2, had a hat-trick from Matteo Disipio, and a single from Brandon Walker, while Jackson Pundyk finished with 35-saves in the loss.

 

F | OTTAWA 3 ROCKLAND 2 OT

Andrew Uturo and James Taylor scored in regulation, Antoine Gauthier was the overtime hero, while Rorke Applebee made 32-saves as Ottawa improved to 18-4-2-0 on the season. Rockland, who fell to 9-9-2-2, had goals from Nick White and Yanic Crete, while Hadyn Gould made 42-saves in the losing effort.
