CCHL Recap | Busy Friday Night sees five teams in Action

 

OTTAWA, ON – A busy Friday night across the CCHL region saw the Carleton Place Canadians, Hawkesbury Hawks, Renfrew Wolves, Ottawa Junior Senators, and Rockland Nationals all pick up victories.

 

F | CARLETON PLACE 5 BROCKVILLE 3

Will Soloway scored twice, Brandon Walker, Gino Colangelo, and Evan Jamieson added singles, while Joe Chambers made 28-saves as Carleton Place improved to 3-1-0-0 on the season. Brockville, who fell to 1-2-0-0, had two goals off the stick of Lucas Culhane and a single from Thomas Haynes, while Sami Molu made 24-saves in the loss.

 

F | HAWKESBURY 7 NEPEAN 2

Jakson Kirk netted a hat-trick, Landon Brownlee and Jeremy Tremblay scored twice, while Dekon Randell-Snow made 20-saves as Hawkesbury improved their season record to 2-0-1-1. Nepean, who dropped to 0-3-0-1 on the year, had goals from Jack Matsukubo and Luka Benoit, while Luca Sandu made 25-saves in the loss.

 

F | RENFREW 3 SMITHS FALLS 2 SO

Joey Kennelly and Elvis Slack scored in regulation, Tyson Phare netted the shootout winner, while Sebastian Resar made 33-saves as Renfrew improved to 2-1-0-0 on the year. Smiths Falls, who fell to a record of 1-2-0-1, had goals from Riley Thompson and Alec Hamady, while Dawson Labre made 35-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | OTTAWA 4 KEMPTVILLE 3

Massimo Gentile, Braxton Ross, Wil Murphy, and Anton Sorensen netted goals, while Rorke Applebee made 33-saves as Ottawa improved to 2-1-0-0 on the year. Kemptville, who fell to 2-2-0-0, had two goals from Patrick Haughian and a single from Rhett Palmer, while Conor Blackwood finished with 38-saves on the losing side of things.

 

F | ROCKLAND 8 CORNWALL 2

Ben Albright scored twice, Patrick Lanthier, Nicolas White, Samuel Beaulne, Charles Locas, and Xavier Laurent scored singles, while Ben Grahame made 26-saves as Rockland improved their season record to 2-0-1-0. Cornwall, who dropped to 2-0-1-0, had goals from Ben Lapier and Brayden Bowen, while Logan Slou made 33-saves in the loss.
