CCHL Recap | Braves, Hawks, 73’s, and Nationals Friday winners

 

OTTAWA, ON – There were four games across the CCHL region on Friday night which saw victories from the Brockville Braves, Hawkesbury Hawks, Kemptville 73’s, and Rockland Nationals.

 

F | BROCKVILLE 2 CARLETON PLACE 1

Nick Foster and Zach Biniaris scored goals, while Sami Molu made 34-saves as Brockville improved to 22-15-4-1. Carleton Place, who dropped to 25-15-0-2, had their lone goal from Owen Colter, while Joe Chambers made 28-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | HAWKESBURY 5 OTTAWA 4 SO

Antoine Dorion, Aidan Stubbings, Landon Brownlee, and Nathan Gagne scored in regulation, Remi Gelinas netted the shootout winner, while Dimitri Pelekos made 35-saves as Hawkesbury improved their season record to 24-11-4-3. Ottawa, who fell to 31-7-3-2, had goals from Anton Sorensen, Mathis Bedard, Emile Villiard, and Vincent Velocci, while Rorke Applebee made 23-saves in the loss.

 

F | KEMPTVILLE 7 SMITHS FALLS 2

Emile Trottier scored twice, Matthew O’Doherty, Tyler Melvin, Grady Logue, Ty Whyte, and Hunter Brazier added singles, while Alex Musielak made 20-saves as Kemptville improved to 18-18-4-1. Smiths Falls, who fell to 25-13-1-2, had goals from Owen Watson and Conor Ronayne in the loss.

 

F | ROCKLAND 5 PEMBROKE 0

Victor Barakett, Nicolas White, Yanic Crete, Jordan Prepszl, and Kellen Dostaler scored goals, while Hadyn Gould had a 33-save shutout as Rockland improved to 16-17-3-3 on the year. Pembroke fell to a record of 8-29-2-2.
